Revaluation, result and grade card: what is the difference?
The term-end result shows the outcome of the original examination. Revaluation is a separate process that re-checks the evaluation of an answer script and produces its own outcome. The grade card is a broader academic record that can include assignment, practical and other components. Because each record is updated through a different process, the same course can appear in one record before another. Always compare the course code and the session.

How the revaluation percentage is calculated
The percentage shown here is calculated only from the marks available for the selected revaluation session:
Term percentage = (Total marks obtained ÷ Total maximum marks) × 100
This is a simple reading of the displayed marks and does not apply the university's formal revaluation rules, which can depend on the programme, course and the applicable notification.

Does this tool apply for revaluation on my behalf?
No. IGNOUConnect is an independent platform. This tool only helps you review the revaluation outcome that has been published for a session. Applying for revaluation must be done through the official IGNOU process.
Why does the revaluation outcome differ from my original result?
A revaluation outcome is the result of the university's re-checking process. It may stay the same, increase, or in some cases change the original marks. The revaluation record is published separately from the original term-end result.
Which session should I select?
Select the session in which the examination was held and for which the revaluation was processed. If you are unsure, check the official IGNOU revaluation notification, which states the applicable session and timeline.
Why is my revaluation outcome not showing?
Revaluation outcomes are published after the university completes its re-checking process, which can take time. If the outcome is not showing, it may not be published yet, or the session selected may be different from the one being processed.
