About the term-end result checker
Understand your IGNOU term-end result, session by session.
IGNOU publishes term-end examination results for each exam session separately. The IGNOUConnect term-end result checker lets you select a session and enter your enrollment number to review the course-wise marks that are available for that session, together with a term-wise percentage estimate. It is designed to make a long result page easier to scan so you can quickly see which courses have marks and which are still pending.
How the term-end result differs from the grade card
A term-end result reflects the outcome of a specific examination session. A grade card is a broader, course-wise academic record that can also include assignment, practical and other components where applicable. Because these records are updated through different processes, a course can appear in one before the other. When you compare them, always match the course code and the session.
How to use the term-end result checker
- Select the exam session you want to check from the dropdown.
- Enter your 9–10 digit enrollment number exactly as issued.
- Submit the form and review the course-wise marks shown for that session.
- Read the term percentage and the Completed / Not Completed remark for each course.
How the term percentage is calculated
The term percentage is a simple, transparent calculation based only on the marks displayed for the selected session:
Term percentage = (Total marks obtained ÷ Total maximum marks) × 100
Each course is also compared with a 40% threshold for the Completed / Not Completed remark. This is a reading of the available marks and is not a substitute for the official IGNOU evaluation rules, which can differ by programme and course.
Common reasons a result looks incomplete
Term-end results are published in stages. A course may not appear immediately if its evaluation is still in progress, if the session differs from the one you selected, or if the enrollment details were entered incorrectly. Before assuming something is wrong, confirm the session and the enrollment number, then check the official IGNOU result and grade-card services.

Term-end result: frequently asked questions
Is this the official IGNOU term-end result?
No. IGNOUConnect is an independent student platform. This tool reviews the term-end result information available for your enrollment and session, but it is not an official university record. For any academic decision, verify through the official IGNOU result service.
Why does my result show for one session but not another?
IGNOU publishes term-end results session by session. If you wrote examinations in more than one session, you may need to check each session separately. A blank result usually means the result for that session is not published yet or the enrollment was not part of that session.
What does the term percentage mean?
The term percentage is calculated from the marks available for the selected session only. It is the total marks obtained divided by the total maximum marks for that session. It is a session estimate, not an overall programme percentage.
What does 'Completed' and 'Not Completed' mean here?
For this tool, a course is marked Completed when the marks shown for it are at least 40% of the maximum marks, and Not Completed otherwise. This is a simple reading of the displayed marks and should be confirmed against the official IGNOU record.
Why are some courses missing from my result?
Results are published in stages. A course may not appear if its evaluation or result processing is still in progress. If a course remains missing after the result window, check the official IGNOU result and grade-card services.
